Ghost Season at Cypress Grind Co
October hit, and the shop’s been busy.
New wax poured. New stock coming in. New ghosts, apparently.
The Wax
We dropped a fresh batch of Ghost — same formula, new look.
White as chalk. No scent this time.
Skaters asked for something clean and simple, so that’s what we made. No fragrance, no distractions, just slide.
It’s subtle, but it feels right for Halloween — all white, no tricks, just grind.

The Shop
The rebrand’s rolling steady on eBay. “Frog in Charge” is out there doing its thing, and more people are finding us every week.
Still small, still grinding, still trying to make a spot in the skate community that actually feels like ours.
New decks, trucks, and wheels are coming in; more sizes, more options, more reasons to stop scrolling and start setting up.
The Grind (and the Ghosts)
I dropped the SkateIQ plan for now.
Good system, just not my pace. I’ve got the drills written down and still hit them when I can.
If you’re new and serious about skating, it’s worth checking out; but sometimes, you’ve just got to move how life lets you.
The Fun Stuff
Emily and I started brainstorming sticker collabs.
She’s got that kid-level creativity that just works; no overthinking, just fun. Somewhere in that brainstorm, we ended up making a dragon puppet. Out of skateboard grip tape.
Yeah. A grip-tape dragon. For Cypress Grind.
It turned out way better than expected.
We’ll post pics soon. Might even start selling them if people like it.
Because honestly, it’s stuff like that - the weird projects, the side ideas, the random creative sparks; that keep this whole thing fun.

What’s Next
More decks.
More wax.
More little steps that make Cypress Grind feel like a real skate shop; one built by hand, not just a logo.
So yeah, we’ve got ghosts in the wax and dragons in the workshop.
It’s a good October.
